DRIVING
Driving from Mexico City:

"Hotel Xalapa" it's located in the heart of the City, in the corner of Bustamante and Altamirano streets. The hotel has 370 rooms including Master and junior suites, and two villas with two bedrooms each. There are two restaurants “La Manzione” and “Cafetos”, there is also a lobby bar, that serves drinks, international and regional food.
The SOMEMMA has reserved a number of rooms for participants of the meeting.
We highly recommend to stay at this hotel. The organizers have negotiated preferential rates based on occupation of a minimum number of rooms. If we fail to meet this minimum, the Society must pay a fine. If we exceed the number of rooms blocked, then the meeting will be able to get free rooms that may be available for plenary speakers and visitors from Latin America or other continents.

The City of Xalapa has over 200 options that will fulfill the foraging needs of attendees, and their cost start from 40 MX pesos. Due to the privileged location of Xalapa you will find restaurants with international regional or local food. Regional food includes the sweet aroma of coffee beans, the traditional “pambazo” (round soft bread covered with flour) with beans, “chorizo”, ham or cheese. Stuffed “chiles”, delicious sugar covered “churros” or the traditional “nun candy” made from “jamoncillo”.
